Premium class and Welcome Bar make a comeback at Thalys

September 18, 2021

From now on Premium travellers aboard the Thalys once again benefit from a gastronomic meal served at their seat. The menu consists of a range of wholesome seasonal recipes made from local products and created by Belgian chef Frank Fol. Depending on the timing travellers have a choice of breakfast, lunch, diner (vegetarian options available) or an aperitif. Café Gourmet is also open for business again with a sweet or savoury snack and a drink. The dishes served aboard the Thalys can be ordered via the new digital menus on board or directly at Thalys.com.

In celebration of the resumption of the meal service, Premium class travellers will be offered a glass of Crémant de Bourgogne during the first month. Moreover, Premium travellers still benefit from free access to faster Wi-Fi, the My Driver service and the e-Press&More app, allowing them to download newspapers, magazines and comic books free of charge.

The Premium class offer now also places a bigger focus on recycling. This was already the case for the paper and part of the plastic but the environment-friendly approach is now being extended to cans, glass bottles, PET bottles and lids.

The Thalys Welcome Bar once again welcomes passengers who like to indulge in a sweet or hearty snack over a cup of coffee. Snacks and drinks are available but must be consumed sitting down in accordance with the applicable health regulations. The digital bar is also open again, making it easy for passengers to order their snacks and drinks in advance while wasting as little time as possible at the bar.
